Please reach us at (937-426-3010 if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Q: What kind of Dryers do you use?A: No we hand dry every pet with high velocity dryers. If your pet is not cooperative for the dryer (its very powerful and loud) then a combination of towel drying, stand dryer and floor fans will be used. Our crates are all open to the air (NO PLEXIGLASS) to ensure proper airflow.
Q: Will my dog be put in a cage?A: Absolutely! All dogs that are not directly being worked on (during breaks or waiting on owners) are safely housed in our individual wire crates. Bedding is provided so your pup is comfortable. If your pet is not crate trained or is a danger to itself while being crated you will be required to pick up your pet as soon as they are finished (express service). THERE IS AN EXTRA FEE FOR DOGS THAT REQUIRE EXPRESS SERVICES.
Q: Do I need shot records?A: Whether or not you vaccinate your pet is between you and your veterinarian. Pets showing signs of ill health may be asked to reschedule until seen and cleared for grooming by a veterinarian. We are not responsible for contracting illness due to improper vaccinations. Please be advised that Bordetella (Kennel Cough) and dog flu vaccines only cover a few of the hundreds of active strains of the viruses. Your pet can still contract these illnesses even if vaccinated.
Q: How young is too young for grooming my puppy?A: Puppies should be introduced to the grooming process THE FIRST DAY they enter your lives. You should touch every inch of your puppies body including entire face feet and yes even the butt. Once the puppy has had the first two sets of puppy vaccines it is recommended to get them to a professional groomer to socialize them to the process. Early introduction reduces the anxiety associated with leaving the owners and the process of being groomed. Q: How often should my dogs nails be trimmed?A: General rule of thumb is 4 weeks. Some pets keep their nails worn down from walking so these pets can go longer between nail trims. Some pets nails grow quicker and need weekly trimming. Q: Do you give discounts?A: We do not offer general discounts. We do reward regular clients with free upgrades and referral coupons. Check our facebook page to see if we are running any specials. Q: Do you take walk-in appointments?A: We DO NOT accept walk-in grooming or bathing appointments. However you do not need an appointment for just nail trims. If you want to bring your dog for just a nail trim we highly recommend calling the salon prior to bringing your dog. If the salon is closed during a normal business day it will say so on our facebook page and our voicemail. Between the hours of 9 and 3 Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday we are usually open. If planning on coming after 3 we recommend confirming we are here. Also we have dogs dropped off and picked up every hour on the hour, to avoid these busy times we recommend arriving 15-30 minutes before or after the on the hour time frames..Q: Can I get my dogs haircut but skip the bath?A: WE DO NOT OFFER THIS SERVICE! To achieve a smooth even finish the coat needs to be washed and dried using our professional equipment. Cutting hair that is dirty or not properly prepped is damaging to our equipment. We do offer alternatives if your pet is too elderly for a proper bath. This is only offered to existing clients.Q: Can my dog get the puppy cut?A: Puppy cut is a very loosely descriptive term meaning same length all over. With most breeds, we can maintain the cute puppy look but the length of hair left is STRICTLY owner preference. We can discuss this more in detail at the appointment drop off.Q: Will you cut off my dogs whiskers?A: Most breed standards include trimming whiskers. Despite popular belief this does not effect your dogs balance (YES IT DOES IN CATS... NOT DOGS). Trimming whiskers is based on owner preference. If you have a preference please let us know at drop off otherwise it will be left to the discretion of the groomer.Q: Can I stay with my dog while its being groomed?A: No, We do not have the facilities to allow owners to hold their dogs. If dogs can see their owners it interrupts the communication between dog and groomer. We use sharp equipment and communication is key to ensure a safety. Q: Will my dog play with other dogs?A: No. Your pets safety is our #1 priority. Your dog is housed individually when not being groomed. We can accommodate if you have multiple dogs that are comfortable being housed together. Q: Can you do a flea dip on my dog?A: NO. See our flea policy for more detailsQ: How long can I leave my dog there?A: Until our last scheduled departure, as long as we have the crate space available for that day and your dog is behaved and not stressed. If you need to drop your dog off before work or on your lunch break we can accommodate your schedule. This needs to be arranged WHEN MAKING YOUR DOGS APPOINTMENT. Any dog left after scheduled departure on any given day that has not been previously arranged will be taken to a boarding kennel and additional fees will be added to your bill as well as any fees associated with the kennel. Q: Do you board dogs?A: NO! For recommendations on kennels and or pet sitters please ask any staff memberQ: Do you clean teethA: NO! We brush teeth but we do not "clean" teeth. Tooth cleaning (also known as scaling) needs to be performed at a vet office. Q: What is your cancellation policy?A: Please respect our time. We understand emergencies happen. We ask that you change or cancel your appointment 24 hours prior to drop off. We do keep track of NO SHOWS and short notice changes to appointments. If it becomes a problem, we may refuse service or require a nonrefundable deposit to book an appointment.Q: Why don't you answer your phone?A: We provide voicemail so that we can return your call when we are not with another client. Because we offer drop off and pickups throughout the day we are frequently with other clients or grooming a dog. We will return your call if you leave a CLEAR message with name phone number and nature of call.
